Salt -vs- Rice ...

If you were to cook 3 cups of rice, would you add 3 cups of salt to it? Certainly not!

So, in every preparation of rice, the grains of rice always outnumber the salt, yet a little salt makes a huge difference/impact in the overall outcome.

In the room in which you currently are, look up at the ceiling ...
What is the size of the bulb compared to the size of the room? It is probably a ratio of 1:5000. Yet, darkness flees the entire space once the small bulb is flipped on.

If I am the salt of the earth, and the light of the world, then "little me" has the ability to make big things happen ...

Sometimes, because we feel outnumbered or overwhelmed at the sheer magnitude of evil or wrong-doers, we then choose powerlessness, and decide to go with the flow, not standing up for what we believe is right.

LITTLE doesn't mean insignificant. You are significant. Your presence should make a BIG difference. Stop waiting to be on the side of the majority. They may be the majority, but they are the trivial majority, and you are the impact minority.

They are the RICE of the world, and you are the SALT of the world..
They are the ROOM and you are the LIGHT.
Make your influence felt!

Clay Balls

A man was exploring caves by the seashore. In one of the caves he found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls. It was like someone had rolled clay balls and left them out in the sun to bake. They didn't look like much, but they intrigued the man so he took the bag out of the cave with him.

As he strolled along the beach, he would throw the clay balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could. He thought little about it until he dropped one of the balls and it cracked open on a rock. Inside was a beautiful, precious stone.

Excited the man started breaking open the remaining clay balls. Each contained a similar treasure.

He found thousands of dollars worth of jewels in the 20 or so clay balls he had left. Then it struck him. He had been on the beach a long time. He had thrown maybe 50 or 60 of the clay balls with their hidden treasure into the ocean waves. Instead of thousands of dollars in treasure, he could have taken home tens of thousands, but he just threw it away.

It's like that with people. We look at someone, maybe even ourselves, and we see the external clay vessel. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It isn't always beautiful or sparkling so we discount it. We see that person as less important than someone more beautiful or stylish or well known or wealthy. But we have not taken the time to find the treasure hidden inside that person by God.

There is a treasure in each and every one of us. If we take the time to get to know that person, and if we ask God to show us that person the way He sees them, then the clay begins to peel away and the brilliant gem begins to shine forth.

May we not come to the end of our lives and find out that we have thrown away a fortune in friendships because the gems were hidden in bits of clay.

May we see the people in our world as God sees them.

* Moenie vir jou kind te veel geld gee nie. Dikwels doen 'n pa dit as 'n afkoopboete omdat hy nie betrokke is nie; ek sê vir jou: dit is fataal.

* Seën jou kinders. Lees Gen 49 : 22 waar Jakob vir Josef seën. Gebruik hierdie woord, of jou eie en spreek ’n seën oor jou kind uit.

* Bid vir jou kind - ook voor hom. Bid die krag en redding van God oor hom af.

* Wees lief vir sy / haar ma.

'n Man sterf en toe hy dit besef, 

sien hy God naderkom met 'n tas in Sy hand.

- God sê: Seun, dit is tyd om te gaan.
- Verbaas reageer die man:
  Nou? So gou? Ek het baie planne gehad ...
- Ek is jammer, maar dit is tyd om te gaan.

- Wat het U in die tas? het die man gevra.
- God het geantwoord: Jou besittings.
- My besittings? Bedoel U my goed, my klere, my geld?
- God het geantwoord: Daardie dinge het nie aan jou behoort nie. 

   Dit was Aardsgebonde.

- Is dit my herinneringe? het die man gevra.
- God het geantwoord: dit het nooit aan jou behoort nie. 

   Dit was Tydsgebonde.

- Is dit my talente?
- God het geantwoord: dit het nooit aan jou behoort nie. 

   Dit was Bykomstigheidsgebonde.

- Is dit my familie of vriende?
- God het geantwoord: Ek is jammer, hulle was nooit joune nie, hulle was 

   Omstandigheidsgebonde.

- Is dit my vrou of my seun of my dogter?
- God het geantwoord: Hulle was nooit joune nie. 

   Hulle was Hartsgebonde.

- Is dit my liggaam?
- God het geantwoord: Dit was nooit joune nie. 

   Dit was Aardsgebonde.

-Is dit my siel?
God het geantwoord: Nee, dit behoort aan My.

Gevul met vrees, het die man die tas van God geneem

en dit oopgemaak net om te vind dat die tas leeg was.

- Met 'n traan wat oor sy wang loop, 

   het die man gevra: het ek nooit iets gehad het nie???
- God het geantwoord: Dit is korrek, elke oomblik wat jy geleef het was joune.

Die lewe is net 'n oomblik, 'n oomblik wat aan jou behoort. 

Daarom, lewe die lewe terwyl jy dit het. 

Moenie dat enigiets wat jy dink aan jou behoort jou verhoed om te lewe nie.

-Lewe Nou.

- Lewe voluit elke oomblik.

- Moenie vergeet om gelukkig te wees nie, dit is die enigste ding wat saak maak.

- Materiële dinge en alle ander dinge wat jy geswoeg en baklei het voor, bly agter.

- ONTHOU JY KAN NIKS SAAMVAT NIE.
